Day 6 - April 29, 2011

After dropping Aubree off at school this morning, Ashley helped me water the front lawn. The sun was just starting to rise and I noticed these gorgeous dew drops beginning to form. I am a fanatic when it comes to dew drops and macro-photography so the drops were a good practice run for me.

Day 5 - April 28, 2011

Today was the last day of a six week program with Aubree's school called The Walking School Bus. It was a way for the school district, the city, & the local university work together to promote family fitness. Since today was the last day, Temple's mayor, Mr. Bill Jones, joined us. Ashley took a liking to him almost immediately & he gladly offered to carry her. So today's picture is of Mr. Jones carrying Ashley before we began the walk. I'm loving this one!

Day 4 - April 27, 2011

Many people know by now that I am one PROUD Texas girl so this should come as no surprise. One of the few decorations that Eric and I have kept since we first got married is our Texas themed kitchen. This door hanger (which I can't remember who we got it from) is my absolute favorite piece.

Quick Note

On each of the pictures, I am putting a watermark for my photography business. You'll notice that they will all probably be different until I find the one that I want to use as my official logo/watermark. Hopefully, I'll figure it out more sooner then later. :-)

Day 3 - April 26, 2011

These are some beautiful flowers that Aubree and our neighbor, Alice, planted a few weeks ago. Alice and Aubree share a love for flowers and gardening so they do a lot of it together. Aubree did most of the work for these flowers. All I do is water them. :) They also planted 7 sunflower plants which are growing very nicely. I can't wait until they start blooming and will be taller then me!

Day 2 - April 25, 2011

Ashley with her 3rd cousin, Pearce. She might not get along well with her other cousin, Gavin, but she adores her Pearce.

Day 1 - April 24, 2011

Happy Easter!

My two girls, Aubree & Ashley

Oh No....Another Blog Bound to Go Unfinished

If you know me, you probably are aware that this is my third attempt at taking on a blog. My first one was about the kids...I got way too busy after Ashley was born and by the time I was ready to continue, I didn't have the drive anymore. My second blog was about my weight-loss endeavor. Once again, I got busy and lost interest (in the blog, not the weight loss).

So what makes this one any different?
Well, two things actually. One - I am doing this blog to help attract business for my growing photography vocation. Two - this is the one thing that I thoroughly enjoy doing that doesn't involve my children. Photography is my 'ME' thing (even though a lot of it is of my girls).

What is it?
After getting some advice from a few of my friends and online photography buddies, I decided to show my family/friends/future clients how I look at things. I've been told that I look at things in a whole different way then most people so I figured why not share it? I use a camera at least once every single day (phone camera, point & shoot camera, or my Rebel XTi). My goal is to take and post at least one picture every single day....of something that I saw and felt the need to capture it. More then likely, I won't be able to actually make a post on this blog every day. I'm a busy mama! So to make up for that, when I do post, I will make a separate post for each day that I missed (of the picture that I took that day). Make sense? Good!

Why 366 days instead of 365 days?
Only because 2012 is a leap year so I have an extra day to share a picture. I'll make my February 29th posting extra special.

If you have a suggestion about something you would like to see and see how I view it, please let me know! I love a good challenge. It can be as 'off-the-wall' as you want. Know that many of my pictures will include my family....they are my life and are excellent models for me. :)

With all that said, I'm going to post my first picture for the blog....wish me luck and ENJOY!
