Day 99 - July 31, 2011

Yep! That is rain and clouds you are looking at. But....it didn't hit us. We had some friends over yesterday and they were on their way home when they actually hit this one little rain storm. So as I took this picture, they were underneath it. We didn't get any rain but I got some good pictures. That's something, right?

Day 98 - July 30, 2011

For once, we are staying home for the weekend. :) Our good friends, the Martinez family, came over so all the kids could play in the pool. As we were saying goodbye to them, my wonderful children jumped into the pool....with their clothes on. Ha! I didn't care, of course. I ran in to get my camera and got some good action shots of both of the girls. We love Summer around here!

**NOTE**
Check out my new (again) logo!! Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law, Sara, for giving me some great ideas!

Day 97 - July 29, 2011

Today's picture is more for giggles...even if it's just a giggle from me. Haha! I was shopping with the girls at HEB when and were in the baby aisle. I happened to be glancing around the baby toiletry section and I spotted the box. An actual Baby Gender predictor...and for $30! Do people actually pay money for this crap? (no offense meant if you have bought something like this).

Day 96 - July 28, 2011

With today's picture, I'm actually tearing up a little bit. Ashley & Gavin have grown up together and tomorrow, we are having to say goodbye to him. I had the pleasure of taking Gavin overnight so the kids got some extra time to play. This morning, we played outside before it got hot. I have not seen these two kids play as well as they did this morning. They were giving each other hugs & kisses and were laughing a ton. Kids are awesome!

Day 95 - July 27, 2011

Today was our last outing with the Zimmerman family before they leave Texas and move to Arizona. I'm having a hard time letting them go but it is something they really want and need to do and I completely understand that. Our outing also included the Martinez family, who recently moved to Texas from Oklahoma...we are very close to them as well. We decided to do what all the kids love most...the spray park. I was playing with the kids and noticed a ton of rainbows made by the water and sunlight. I love rainbows so, of course, I got my phone to take a picture...or 10. Haha! This picture was the best one I got out of the ones I took. I ended up having to increase the exposure a little bit on my photo editing to make the rainbow colors stand out a little bit more.

Day 94 - July 26, 2011

I've posted close to 100 pictures and realized that not one of them includes my wonderful husband, Eric. He's a main part of this family and I want to show him off. :) He kind of got burned out on being my model once I got my new camera 3 years ago. He's not a fan of my camera in his face...who can blame him. But today, I was able to get him to smile for me! No wonder our kids are so cute...they get it from their daddy. ;)

Day 93 - July 25, 2011

(I didn't take a picture today...oops!)

This picture is probably my favorite picture of all-time! And...I did NOT take it. My sister-in-law, Sara, took it about an hour after Ashley was born 2 years ago. I love how innocent both Aubree & Ashley look...such an awesome first sister shot. I edited it up a little bit but nothing too drastic. And no logo today...it's not my work. ;)

Day 92 - July 24, 2011

Gas prices are crazy high and I have a gas guzzling truck (that I would LOVE to get rid of). Since they are so high, I normally don't put any more then half of a tank of gas in the truck. To me, its just money sitting in the gas tank...I don't need to be driving around that much anyway. :) So today, I wasn't paying attention to my gas gauge and even though it kept yelling at me and warning me that the fuel was low, I ignored it. As I finally drove into a gas station (probably in fumes), I noticed my has gauge was below E! I can honestly say that I have never ran out of gas but I was pretty close tonight. Yikes!

Day 91 - July 23, 2011

Aubree's sunflowers are so beautiful right now! Almost all of them have bloomed and Aubree makes sure that I look at them everyday. And I don't mind doing it. Aubree watered her flowers this afternoon and being the lover of dew drops that I am, I rushed to get my camera. I took this one from underneath one of the sunflowers and I was able to catch the blue skies. The contrast of blues and yellows is so beautiful to me. Good job, Aubree!

Day 90 - July 22, 2011

Yesterday, Eric was gracious enough to take care of the girls and let me go to a Mom's Night Out. We had this one at the Morgan's Point pool which I was blown away by. It is sitting on top of a hill and it was overlooking the Belton Lake. It was so beautiful....especially the sunset. I couldn't stop looking at it and thinking about what kind of a picture it would be after every few minutes. Texas may be hot but I love it here! :)

Day 89 - July 21, 2011

After Eric got off of work, we all went to Belton Lake to cool off. The water was sooo nice and surprisingly clear. Just looking at this picture is helping me cool off. Haha!

Day 88 - July 20, 2011

Aubree and Ashley received a box from their Grammy & Papa and inside were books that had their Grammy's voice reading the book to them. The girls love their books!! Thanks Grammy! This is a picture I took of Ashley as she sat on our bed, looking through the book.

Day 87 - July 19, 2011

Yep! I'm going there. My brother, Matt, was playing around the day we had the girls' birthday party and taking random pictures of everybody. To get him back, I took a few of him. This one was the most awkward. Look at those pearly whites...

Day 86 - July 18, 2011

The next few days are going to be pictures I took on other days because I didn't take any pictures these days. So here is my niece, Ruth, enjoying her 1st birthday smash cake. She obviously had a blast. Yummy!

Day 85 - July 17, 2011

This day was Ashley's 2nd birthday! Since Ruth's birthday is 5 days after Ashley's, we decided to do a joint birthday party at my brother and sister-in-law's house. The girl's had a blast (especially Ruth since it was her 1st birthday and she got her own smash cake...haha!) and I was able to catch Ashley blowing out her candle! I can't believe my baby is already 2.

Day 84 - July 16, 2011

For the first time, I took pictures of a wedding ceremony and reception. Check out www.dizzygphotography.com to see the results! One of my favorite pictures is this one of a centerpiece. The colors of the flowers were beautiful and mixed with the lighting in the background, I think it is a good contrast of colors. Beautiful flowers, Jessica!

Day 83 - July 15, 2011

It's no surprise by now that it is HOT and DRY! As we left Temple to head to Fort Worth, a random afternoon storm popped up. Of course, we missed seeing the rain from it but I was able to get a good picture of the storm. Again, I used the faux HDR effect and it came out kinda neat. The storm clouds just popped!

Day 82 - July 14, 2011

Love these girls! Aubree and Ashley have been spending a bunch of time together since Aubree is home for the Summer. Normally, I would say that these kind of moments were few and far between but they are happening a lot more now. I caught this one as Aubree was picking up Ashley. These two are my life!

Day 81 - July 13, 2011

The quality of this pictures isn't all that great but I'm still posting it. :) I decided to shampoo the carpets today and after it dried, I vacuumed. But this time, I got a good workout. I had Aubree hold on to the vacuum while I pushed it. What a workout it was! She's not as light as she used to be...haha!

Day 80 - July 12, 2011

This is my nectarine 'tree' and its in full bloom! It's my cupcake holder that I now use as a fruit & veggie holder. Nectarines are my favorite fruit and the only time they are in season here are in July & August. 90¢/lb. is a steal and I got a ton of nectarines for less then $4!

Day 79 - July 11, 2011

Another hot one in the big T state! We spent the day outside anyway. :) The girls and I attended a playdate at a spray park but unfortunately, it was turned off. So after the girls played with everyone for a while, my friend, Violette, and I took all the kids to a working spray park in Belton. I had been to this park before but it was during the Fall and the water obviously wasn't on. The kids had a blast and I was sooo tempted to get in too....but I kept my adult composure. :) I took a few pictures of the water area and changed the colors to the Lomo effect to really make all the many blues pop.

Day 78 - July 10, 2011

This picture is now my favorite so far. Aubree planted a bunch of sunflower seeds about 6 weeks ago and with the drought we are in and the heat that seems to never end, I didn't think they were going to fare too well. I ended up being wrong and we are so glad I was. The vibrancy of these sunflowers are beautiful and the blue sky behind it makes for a great picture. Thanks Aubree!

Day 77 - July 9, 2011

While up in Dallas, we checked out a lake that was near the church. There were a bunch of small docks that go out into the water. It was hot but we had to get out and check out the water. This picture I actually took accidentally but it came out kinda neat. Those feet are my mom's and Aubree's. :)

Day 76 - July 8, 2011

Another picture of Alice's plants. I have no idea what kind of plant this is but I loved the lines that were on it.

Day 75 - July 7, 2011

My cousin, Cheryl, and I are going to be photographing a wedding in Dallas in a week and on Thursday, my mom and I went up there to check out the church. This place is huge and so pretty! Towards the back is the vestibule of the church and my mom mentioned there was a beveled glass back there. I took this picture of it looking through it but still showing the detail of the glass. I love the way it came out.

Day 74 - July 6, 2011

This year, I have bombarded our exterior home with wind chimes. I'm sure the neighbors aren't enjoying the loud noises from them but I sure am! This one is my biggest one which makes it the loudest. You should hear it when it's really windy outside. Haha! I love how I was able to catch the sunlight hitting the silver part at just the right angle.

Day 73 - July 5, 2011

Our next door neighbor, Alice, has a beautiful garden in her front yard and she said anytime she has blooms out, she wanted me to take some pictures for her. I haven't been able to take many pictures lately due to it being extremely dry and extremely hot and the flowers haven't been blooming as much. She has quite a few colors of crape myrtle and they were blooming this week. This is one of the ton of pictures I took of her dark pink one.

Day 72 - July 4, 2011

(Normally, I would have taken pictures of fireworks on the 4th but since they cancelled all the fireworks shows because of our drought, I had to do something else.)

Aubree finally came home today and while she was gone, I tended to her small garden in the front yard. All I did was water her plants and nothing more. She has a double mint plant in there and she wanted to harvest some of them. The mint plant was huge! We ended up only picking half of the mint and left the rest to keep growing. I have the mint lying on the kitchen counter to dry out and saw a great shot. I love the vibrance of the green...like you can almost smell the mint from the picture.

Day 71 - July 3, 2011

Grace's birthday party is always a blast and this year was no different. Her parents rented a 16 foot inflateable water slide and the kids (young & old) LOVED it. Before the birthday party guests began to arrive, the girls got to try it out for a few hours. I was able to catch this hilarious shot of the birthday girl sliding down the slide. I'm pretty sure she loved her party.

Day 70 - July 2, 2011

My niece's birthday is tomorrow and Aubree decided that she wants me to make each of her cousins blankets for their birthdays this year. For Grace, Aubree picked out a rainbow peace sign design with a hot pink bottom. I made it this afternoon and saw the perfect picture.

Day 69 - July 1, 2011

Let me tell you, I have some stinkin cute nieces! Amelia is my little buddy and we had fun with my camera yesterday. I litterally have over 50 pictures that we took and she was being a little ham. I love her and her sisters so much!
